Special Olympics Durham County is hosting a SOfit program this Spring and we need your help! By volunteering with SOfit, you would be helping to deliver valuable training and resources on health and wellness topics to individuals within the disability community. By helping others achieve their best, we help ourselves. Please consider supporting this critical initiative!

What is SOfit?

The SOfit health and wellness program, developed by Special Olympics Minnesota, is a Unified approach to improving and protecting health and wellness for people with and without intellectual disabilities. SOfit offers participants a comprehensive, 360-degree look at wellness and the human spirit. Together, athletes and Unified partners are empowered to challenge and change the way they look at diet, daily exercise, and lifestyle choices.

We encourage you to choose as many shifts as your schedule allows. If you're able to commit to every Wednesday that would make for a great experience.

Community participation is invaluable to our organization and its mission. We value your volunteer service!

PLEASE NOTE: SOFit coaches and Unified Partners would ideally be able to commit to every Wednesday. Wellness Instructors would act as "guest speakers" and can vary from week to week.
