Special Olympics athletes from across the state will compete at the 2024 Special Olympics North Carolina Equestrian Tournament September 20-22 at the Tryon International Equestrian Center. Athletes will compete in showmanship, dressage, western riding, gymkhana races, equitation and working trails. The event weekend will kick off with an Opening Ceremony on Friday, September 20.
We are looking for a wide range of volunteers from general assistants to those with extensive horse knowledge and comfort. Please select the shift that works for you.
Meals will be provided for all day volunteers. All volunteers should wear closed toed shoes and potentially boots depending on where they are volunteering. Volunteers may be asked to take on various tasks during their shift. Please bring a refillable water bottle and snacks if preferred.
